Ingredients
- 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation
Step 1
Melt and cool chocolate.
Sift dry ingredients together. Add butter, sugar, egg and flavoring and chocolate. Beat until smooth. Fold in oats and nuts. Shape into rolls about 1 1/2 inch in diameter. Wrap in parchment paper and chill thoroughly. Slice 1/4 inch thick. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes.
