Wonderful Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 2 eggs, well beaten
• 2 sticks butter
• 4 tbls cocoa
• 1 cup water
• 2 cup flour
• 1 tbls soda
• 1 tbls vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan, bring to a boil butter, cocoa and water. In large bowl, mix together sugar and flour. Pour hot mixture over dry mixture and stir well. Add eggs, buttermilk, vanilla & soda. ( batter will be thin) Bake in a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch dish 30-35 minutes at 350*

Frosting: 1 stick butter, 4 tbls cocoa and 1/3 cup milk - bring to a boil. Add 1 1-pound box powdered sugar and /2 cup chopped pecans. Pour over "hot" cake when it is removed from oven.
