Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 ounces thinly sliced prociutto
- 1 whole garlic clove minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 pound penne pasta
- 1 pound asparagus spears
- 1 1/2 cups grated parmesan cheese
- 3/4 cup basil
Preparation
Step 1
1. Cook prosciutto until lightly browned and crisp, about 5 minutes.
2. Add garlic to pan and cook until fragrant
3. Stir in cream and lemon juice and simmer until thickened.
4. Cook pasta about 8 minutes. Add asparagus about 4 minutes more. Reserve 1 cup water. Add sauce, 1/2 cup water, cheese, basil ans toss to combine.
5. Sprinkle portions with crispy prosciutto.
