Ingredients
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 1/2 cup water, lukewarm
- 3/4 cup milk, lukewarm
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 3 1/4 cup flour
- 1 egg

Step 1
Add together yeast, water, milk - let stand about 5 minutes. To yeast mixture, whisk in sugar, salt, nutmeg, stir well. Add flour and stir. Add 1 egg, slightly beaten and stir well. Cover and let rise til double in bulk, about 1 hour.
Grease 3 8in pans with butter. Rub spoon with butter and divide dough evenly in 3 pans. Cover again and let rise til double in bulk, about an hour.
Meanwhile, make topping: combine 1 1/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cup flour, 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1 stick butter, softened until crumbly.
When cakes have risen, melt 3 tbls butter, pour evenly over three cakes. Then add topping evenly to 3 cakes. Bake at 375*about 20 minutes.
