Ingredients
- Toppings:
- 2 medium yellow onions, chopped
- 2-3 large garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 lb. ground beef (85-15)
- 1/2 small can tomato paste
- 3 cups water
- 1 can pinto beans
- 1 can white beans (or kidney)
- 2 tb chili power
- 1 tb ground cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tb olive oil
- Shredded cheese
- Minced red onion
- Sliced black olives
- etc.

Preparation
Step 1
Saute onions and garlic in oil over medium heat about 10 minutes, until translucent.
Add ground beef and brown.
Drain grease off, then add tomato paste, water and seasonings.
Simmer mixture 1-1/2 hours or longer, stirring occasionally; add more water during cooking, if necessary.
Add beans during last half hour of cooking.
Adjust for cumin and salt and serve.
