GORDITAS

Ingredients

  • 1 c masa harina flour
  • 1 c a.p flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 T shortening
  • 1 c hot water

Preparation

Step 1

. Combine the masa, flour, salt, hot water, shortening mix into moist dough adjusting water a/n

. Rest dough cover and rest dough for 20 minutes, form dough into balls that fit into the palm of your hand

. Flattened balls into 1/4" thick rounds, cook rounds on griddle or a comal

. Fry rounds in hot oil until they puff up

.Drain and stuff with filling of your choice
