Banana Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 8 tbs butter
  • 4 sliced banana's (1/3" thickness)
  • 6 tbs light brown sugar
  • 2/3 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 eggs and 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 c sugar and 1 tbs sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 6 slices of firm white bread

Preparation

Step 1

butter 9 inch deep pie pan or one or 9 inch sqaure baking dish

cook bananas in frying pan w/4 tbs butter untl golden brown. then sprinkle with 2 tbs brown sugar.

beat milk, cream, eggs, yolk, ⅓ c sugar, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, and remaining brown sugar.

brush bread with remaining butter (melted) and cut each slice in ½ and layer with bananas in baking pan.

pour milk mixture and press into bread to obsorb.

cover w/foil and bake 30 mins @ 325 degrees. remove foil sprinkle top with 2 tbs sugar and bake uncovered until golden brown (25 Mins)
