Buttermilk Battered Calamari

Ingredients
- 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 T salt
- 1/2 T ground black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 pould squid, cleaned and cut into 1/2" rings

Step 1
Heat oil or deep fryer to 375
Dip squid into buttermilk and then into seasoned flour. Fry small batches turning to evenly cook. remove to paper towel to drain, serve hot.
