Ingredients
- 3 cans (16 1/2 oz. each) minced clams
- 1/3 cup thinly sliced green onion
- 1/2 cup mayonniaise
- 6 teaspoon grated Parmeson cheese
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire
- 3/4 teaspoon galic powder
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon liquid hot pepper seasoning
- 1 large loaf (24 oz.) thin-sliced sandwich bread
- 6 About 6 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
Preparation
Step 1
Drain clams well; reserve liquid for other uses, ir desired. Combine clams, onion, mayonnaise, cheese, worcestershire, garlic powder, and hot pepper seasoning.
Trim crusts from bread slices. With a rolling pin, roll wach slice untill very thin. Spread about 1 tablespoon or the clam mixture on each one, then roll up, jelly-roll fashion. Brush well with butter; leave whole for sandwiches or cut in half for appetizers. Arrangs rolls 1 inch apart on a greased baking sheet. Bake in a 425 oven for 12 minutes or untill lightly browned. Makes 2 dozen finger sandwiches or 4 dozen appetizers.
With 2 cans of clams makes 24 appetizers.
