Coconut Icing

Ingredients

  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 Tbsp Karo syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Bring powdered sugar, karo syrup, and water to a boil and cook until it forms a soft ball in water. When syrup begins to boil, beat egg whites. Continue to beat, don't stop mixer. When syrup is done pour slowly into egg whites. Add vanilla. Beat with mixer until cool and ready to spread on the cake, about 10 to 15 minutes. Spread on cake.
