Peanut Crunch Biscuits

By

Most health food stores provide machines that can grind whole peanuts in any amount needed. I recommend this step, as commercial peanut butters contain sugars, salt, and BHA preservatives designed for human taste buds, not doggies.

  • 50

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat germ
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup whole rolled oats
  • 1 cup all natural crunch peanut butter
  • 3 tblsp canola oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 300. Adjust rack to the lower third of the oven.

2. Combine wheat germ, flor, and oats in a bowl. Add peanut butter, canola oil, egg, and water. Mix all ingredients together (you may find it easier to kneas the mix with your hands).

3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Repeat rolling and cutting out all dough until completely used.

4. Place on lightly greased baking sheet and bake 40 minutes. Turn oven off but leave biscuits inside until crunch, at least 1 hour.

5. Store in sealed container.
