Ingredients
- Buttercream:
- 1 C Butter
- 1 C brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- 2 C flour
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 C powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp 2% milk
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- 1/4 C Butter
- 2 drops red food coloring
- Topping:
- 9 oz Baking chocolate, white
- 3/4 C crushed candy canes
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Beat sugar and butter, add egg yolk and extract. Gradually add flour. Press into pan.
Bake 16-19 minutes. Cool completely.
Beat buttercream ingredients til smooth. Spread over shortbread. Cover with white chocolate. Sprinkle with candy canes.
Remove from pan and cut into bars.
