Ingredients

  • 3

    slices bread (pour milk over to saturate)

  • Or 1 1/2 Cups of bread crumbs

  • 1

    large onion diced

  • 2

    celery stalks cup up

  • 1

    med green pepper diced

  • 1

    T butter

  • 2

    lbs ground chuck or sirloin

  • 1/4

    C mustard

  • 1/4

    C ketchup

  • 2

    tsp horseradish

  • 2

    dashes soy sauce

  • 1

    tsp salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Saute onion, celery and green pepper in butter till glazed over. Add ground meat to milk soaked break, add sauteed onion, celery and green pepper. Add ¼ C mustard, ¼ C of ketchup, 2 tsp horseradish, couple shakes of soy sauce and salt. Shake black pepper over all and mix thoroughly. Form into loaf and put into loaf pan sprayed with Pam. Bake at 325 degrees for about 1½ hours. Note: If you don’t want to soak break, use approx 1 ½ Cups of bread crumbs. You can put ketchup over top of meatloaf or a can of diluted tomato soup.
