Ingredients
- 1 pound orecchiette
- 1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed
- 1 package sliced white or brown mushrooms
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups loosely packed basil leaves, torn up
- 1/3 grated Parmesan
Preparation
Step 1
1. Bring a large pot of water to boling. Cook pasta as package directs. Drain, reserving 1/4 cup cooking liquid.
2. Meanwhile, cook sausage in a skillet over medium-high heat for 5 minutes, or until no longer pink.
3. Add mushrooms and cook and additional 5 minutes.
4. Pour in wine, reserved pasta water and black pepper. Stir in basil. Remove from heat; toss with pasta and cheese.
