Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground chuck
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 garlic bulbs, chopped fine
- 2 cans diced tomatoes with juice
- 1 can garbonza beans with juice
- 1 can light red kidney beans
- 1 can great northern beans
- 1 48-ounce can chicken broth
- 3 carrots cut in thin short strips
- 2 ribs celery diced
- 2 tablespoons catsup
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 3 teaspoons basil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 cup Racconto Ditali
- salt and pepper to taste
- pinch cayenne pepper
- dash of tabasco sauce
Preparation
Step 1
Brown meat with onion and garlic; drain. Add rest of ingredients except pasta. Simmer for one hour then add the pasta (short tubular pasta) and cook an additional 30 minutes.
