Chocolate Milkshake Smoothie

We keep tweaking this recipe and it keeps getting better and better! We love it! We refer to it as our dessert smoothie. It is a super healthy treat! Makes 3, 16 oz. servings.

Ingredients

  • 2 avocados
  • 1/2 cup raw cocoa
  • 4-6 raw cocoa nibs (optional, just adds a bit of intensity to the chocolate flavor)
  • 1/4 cup raw honey
  • 3 handfuls spinach
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1.5 T organic peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 frozen bananas
  • 3 cups ice

Preparation

Step 1

Using a high speed blender, like a Vitamix, blend first 8 ingredients until smooth. Add frozen banana and ice and blend until smooth and creamy. Serve.
