Nut Filling

This is the filling that is used to make Nut Roll.

Ingredients

• Grind together (in food processor):
• 1 1/2 lb. ground walnuts
• 1/2 lb. coconut
• Then add:
• 1 small jar honey (about 8 oz.)
• 1/4 lb. melted butter
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2 Tbsp. sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Coat top of roll with egg yolk and 2 Tbsp. water.
Place on ungreased pans and let rise at least 20 minutes before placing in 350 oven for 25 minutes. Remove and moisten with milk for a nice sheen.
