Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 3 Tbs. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 c. melted butter
- 3/4 c. caramel ice cream topping
- 1 c. pecans
- Filling:
- 5 Granny Smith apples
- 5 Tbs. butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- Cream Cheese Topping:
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbs. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. sugar
- Topping:
- 3/4 c. cream, whipped
- 2 Tbs. sugar
- 1/2 c. caramel topping
- 1/4 c. pecans
Preparation
Step 1
Crust: Combine 1st four crust ingredients. Press into 10" pie plate and up the sides. Bake at 375 degrees 6-8 minutes. Cool. Pour caramel in; sprinkle with pecans.
Filling: Melt butter in skillet. Add sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Add apples. Cook around 20 minutes, until tender. Put in shell after cooling.
Beat cream cheese and sugar around 1 minute. Add rest of cream cheese topping ingredients. Beat 1 minute. Place over apples. Bake at 350 degrees around 30 minutes (testing with clean knife). Cook. Refrigerate 4 hours.
Let stand our of refrigerator 30 minutes before serving. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel topping and pecans.
