Ingredients

  • 1 lb stew meat
  • 1 lb. stew meat
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/8 t. pepper
  • 1 t. salt
  • 2 T. oil
  • 1 t. onion powder
  • 1/4 t. thyme
  • 1 T. basil
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled & cubed
  • 3 med. carrots, peeled & sliced
  • 1 med. russet potato peeled & cubed
  • 4 beef boullon cubes
  • 5 c. water
  • 12-oz can beer

Preparation

Step 1

In shallow dish coat meat with flour, salt & pepper. In a large soup pot brown beef in oil over med. heat. Add rest of ingredients and brting to boil.
Reduce heat & simmer for 2 hours or so, stirring occasionally until beef is tender.
