Ingredients

  • 8 turkey cutlets
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 medium onions, sliced
  • 1/2 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

Season turkey cutlets with salt and pepper to taste. Place flour in pie pan or shallow bowl and dredge both sides of cutlets. In a large skillet over medium heat cook turkey cutlets in oil for about 1-2 minutes per side or until lightly browned. Remove from skillet and set aside. Add onions and water to skillet and stir up all the browned bits on the bottom of the skillet. Cook onions for about 3-4 minutes before adding cutlets back to skillet. Reduce heat, cover and let simmer for about 5 minutes or until onions are translucent and cutlets are cooked through.

Serving Suggestions: Serve with black-eyed peas and cornbread.
