  • 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 10 cups water
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice

Preparation

Step 1

wash, clean and sterilize qt jars. peel, core and slice apples
fill jars with apples
boil and cook all ingredients until thick and bubbly
pour hot ingredients on apples and burp with knife
wipe jar rims and add lids/bands and boil in hot water bath for 20 min.
