Creme Fraiche

A great alternative to store bought product. Can substitute sour cream for buttermilk. Use as a topping for soups, desserts or can be mixed in main dishes. The creme fraiche can be whipped as well.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix together buttermilk and heavy cream. Let sit at room temperature for six to eight hours.

2. Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
