Golden Bundt Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups butter or margarine
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 5 oz can evaporated milk plus water to make 1 cup
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Beat sugar and butter until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in eggs one at a time; beat well after each addition.

Mix flour and salt. Alternately add flour and milk, ending with flour. Fold in flavouring.

Start in a cold oven. Bake in a greased tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes, until done. Do not open door. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.
