MICROWAVE NUT BRITTLE

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 TBS butter
  • 2 cups nuts (your choice)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Pam

Preparation

Step 1

1. Spray all cookware and utensils w/ Pam
2. Combine sugar and corn syrup in microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 5 minutes
3. Remove from microwave, add butter and stir in nuts to combine
4. Microwave on high for 2 1/2 minutes or until pale brown in color (may take up to 7 minutes)
5. Remove from microwave, add baking soda and vanilla, stir to combine.
6. Immediately pour onto baking sheet coated w/ pam, spread as thin as possible and allow to cool. When cool, break into pieces.
