Bang Bang Cauliflower

a lightened up version, similar to bang bang shrimp at Bone Fish Grill

Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 2 T cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup egg whites
  • 1 head cauliflower
  • S&P
  • 1 T garlic powder
  • sliced green onion for garnish
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup lite mayo
  • 1/4 cup siracha
  • 1 T rice vinegar
  • 2 T sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cut cauliflower to bite size pieces. Dip florets one by one into cornstarch, shake off, then dip in egg whites, then coat with panko mixture. Fry into hot oil till all sides browned. Drain on paper towel. Top with salt. Mix sauce together and coat florets, top with green onion and serve immediately.
