Barbecued Beef Short Ribs

Ingredients

  • 4 LBS bone-in beef short ribs, trimmed
  • 2 TBL vegie oil
  • 1 LG sweet onion, halved & sliced
  • 1 bottle (12oz) chili sauce
  • 2 TBL brown sugar
  • 2 TBL red wine vinegar
  • 2 TBL worcestershire sauce
  • 2 TBL dijon mustard
  • 1/4 tsp grd. cloves

Preparation

Step 1

in lg skillet, brown ribs in oil in
batches
place onion in 5-qt slow cooker
add ribs
cover & cook on low for 4 1/2-5 hrs or
until meat is tender

in sm. saucepan, combine remaining
ingredients

cook & stir over med heat for 4-6 min or
until heated through
remove ribs from slow cooker
skim fat from cooking juices
return ribs to slow cooker
pour sauce over ribs

cover & cook on high for 25-30 min or
until sauce is thickened
