Barbecue Beans

Ingredients

  • 1/2 LB grd. beef
  • 2 celery ribs, chopped
  • 1/2 lg. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 C greeen pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 C packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 C ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp grd ginger
  • dash grd cloves
  • 2 cans (28-oz each) pork & beans

Preparation

Step 1

in lg. skillet, cook beef w/ celery,
onion & gr. pepper until meat is
no longer pink & vegies are tender
drain
stir in rest of ingredients

transfer to 2 1/2-qt baking dish
bake, uncovered @350 for 1 - 1 1/2 hrs or
until beans reach desired thickness
