- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 2 cans stewed tomatoes
- 1 can corn
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 8 oz. flat noodles
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- shredded cheese (your favorite variety)
Preparation time 15mins
Cooking time 60mins
In a large skillet, brown hamburger and onion. Drain.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, basil, and sugar to taste.
Add tomatoes, corn, and tomato sauce.
Add noodles to the skillet. (Add about one cup of water, if necessary, to almost cover the noodles).
Cover and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Uncover and cook an additional 20 minutes or until noodles are soft and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Top with shredded cheese for the last 3 - 5 minutes, until cheese melts.
