Ingredients

  • 1 yeast cake disolved in 1/2 cup luke warm water, add 2 tsp. sugar. Let rise for 10 minutes
  • 1 cup lard
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 3 cups hot water
  • mix together. When cool add yeast. In a large bowl put 8 to 10 cups of flour (enough to make stiff when yeast is added)

Step 1

Cover and let raise 2 hours, punch down and let raise for 2 more hours, Shape into buns. Cover with cloth and let raise over night.
Bake in morning at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown

I start just before 5, punch at 7, put in pans at 9
