Chocolate Covered Pretzels

By

These are so very simple to make and taste wonderful! They make a great gift as well. People are really impressed by them, and they are so easy!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag small-sized pretzels
  • 2 bags Wilton chocolate (we prefer the dark cocoa)
  • 1 bag Wilton white chocolate

Preparation

Step 1

Lay wax paper on counter in strips. Melt chocolate according to directions on bag. You may want to melt one bag at a time.

Dip pretzels in chocolate. Wilton makes a neat pronged stick that is great for dipping and really cheap. Lay pretzels out to cool. When hard, heat 1/2 bag of the white chocolate and place in a frosting decorations bag with a small tip. Go back and forth over pretzels to make stripes. Let cool and harden.

Place in gift bags, decorative tins, or in an airtight container. I dare you not to eat them like a pig! LOL

DO NOT OVERHEAT chocolate. If you overheat it, the chocolate will "bloom" meaning the sugar rises to the top and creates little white dots on the chocolate. It is not very attractive, but it tastes the same. If this happens, you will cover it somewhat with the white overlay.
