Ingredients
- 1 LB bacon strips, diced
- 1 lg onion, chopped
- 3 cans (2 55-oz & 1 28-oz) baked
- beans
- 2 cans (1 20-oz & 1 8-oz) crushed
- pineapple, drained
- 1/2 C packed brown sugar
- 1/2 C ketchup
Preparation
Step 1
in lg. skillet, cook bacon over med.
heat until crisp
remove w/ slotted spoon to paper towels
drain - reserving 2 TBL drippings
saute onion in drippings until tender
in very lg. bowl, combine beans,
pineapple, bacon & onion
combine brown sugar & ketchup
stir into beam mix
transfer to 2 greased 3-qt or 13"x9"
baking dishes
cover & bake @350 for 20 min
uncover
bake 25-35 min longer or until bubbly &
beans reach desired thickness
