Ingredients
- 1 sleeve of unsalated crackers
- 1 cup of packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup of butter
- 1 bag of chocolate chips (12 os.)
- Pecans or Almonds
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Line a cookie sheet with foil (grease foil, optional)
Line up one sleeve of unsalted saltines on cookie sheet.
In a heavy saucepan melt the butter and light brown sugar. Bring to a boil (3 minutes).
Pour this mixture over the crackers. Heat for 5 minutess in the oven. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Wait 30 seconds, then spread over top with knife.
If using nuts, sprinkle now. Refrigerate for several hours then cut into squares or break-up into chunks. Refrigerate until shortl6 before serving.
