Imogene’s Mock Whip Cream Icing
Delicious on a red velvet or chocolate cake
- 1 C milk
- 3 T flour
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 1 c granulated sugar
- 1 t vanilla
Cook milk and flour over medium heat until thick (like paste), stirring frequently. Let mixture cool completely.
Cream butter with mixer until fluffy; gradually add in sugar, beating continually; Add vanilla and cooled milk mixture. Beat several minutes until fluffy.
