Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Red Onion, Chopped
  • 1 tsp Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 Cup Dry Red Wine
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2-1/2 Cups Beef Broth
  • 1 tsp Flour

Preparation

Step 1

Caramelize the onions in a medium sauté pan in the heated olive oil.

Add garlic and cook for a minute or two more.

Stir in the red wine, then add Worcestershire sauce and cook for another minute, stirring constantly.

Add the beef broth and bring to a light boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.

Add flour and simmer an additional 5 minutes.
