Corn Meal Mush
Sometimes known at hasty pudding
- 1 c. corn meal
- 1 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. cold water
- pinch of salt
Make paste of cornmeal and cold water, stirring until no lumps.
Pour gradually into salted boiling water. Place in double boiler and cook 2-3 hours, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Serve hot with sugar and milk.
