Bread Pudding

  • 12-16 oz sliced white bread
  • 3/4 c raisins or other dried fruit
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 c whole milk
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt



Step 1

Cut the butter in1/2 in cubes and spread on bottom of a prepared baking dish
Mix the rest of the ingredients together and pour over the bread.
Let it stand for 30 min, periodically pushing the bread down to help it absorb the liquid
Bake in a water bath at 350 for 55 minutes
Serve with whipped cream
