  • 17 Large Lemons (organic)
  • 2 750 ml. Bottles Grain Alcohol (or good quality Vodka)
  • 5 1/2 Cups Water
  • 6 Cups Sugar

Preparation

Step 1

• WASH & DRY LEMONS

• REMOVE AND DISCARD BOTH ENDS

• USING VEGETABLE PEELER, ZEST LEMONS

• PLACE PEELS IN 4 QUART MASON JAR WITH A RUBBER SEAL LID

• COMPLETELY COVER WITH ALCOHOL AND SEAL JAR

• STORE IN DARK AND COOL PLACE SHAKING JAR ONCE EVERY DAY

• ON 13TH DAY, BRING WATER TO BOIL

• ADD SUGAR AND REMOVE FROM HEAT STIRRING UNTIL SUGAR COMPLETELY DISSOLVED. COVER AND COOL TO ROOM TEMP.

• STRAIN ALCOHOL AND DISCARD LEMON PEEL

• COMBINE LIQUIDS AND RETURN TO MASON JAR

• STORE FOR 3-4 WEEKS SHAKING TWICE EACH DAY

• TRANSFER TO SMALLER BOTTLES AND STORE IN FREEZER
