Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup black molasses
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp baking soda
- dash of salt
- 2 cups flour
Preparation
Step 1
Mix wet ingredients thoroughly; then mix dry. Combine.
Chill before baking.
Make little balls of dough and smash them.
Dip into (additional) sugar and bake at 350 degrees (until cracks appear)(~10 minutes)
