    Johnny Carino's is an Italian restaurant. They have some of the best olive oil / garlic / herb dip. This is a close recipe that I found on by Kristin Sessions

      cup(s) Extra virgin olive oil

    • 2

      teaspoon(s) Rosemary

    • 2

      teaspoon(s) Parsley

    • 2

      teaspoon(s) Oregano

    • 1

      teaspoon(s) Crushed red pepper

    • 1

      teaspoon(s) Kosher salt

    • 1

      teaspoon(s) Black pepper

    • 4

      teaspoon(s) Parmesan cheese

    • 1

      head(s) Garlic peeled and chopped


    Blend spices and Parmesan cheese in a food processor until finely chopped. Add to olive oil. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Lay chopped garlic on a baking sheet line with parchment paper. Roast garlic for 10 minutes and stir. Roast for another 10 minutes until garlic is golden and crispy, but not burned. Serve roasted garlic in a shallow bowl for dipping. Add oil as desired when ready to eat. **I mixed dried herbs, roasted garlic and oil together without the parmesan cheese. I did this so the herbs, garlic and olive oil would enfuse and will add the cheese when ready to use. Haven't tried fresh herbs yet. It is also good to roast the garlic, and serve immediately with the herbs and oil. **I made bread sticks from Rhodes Texas Rolls (cut dough in half per stick). When I was ready to put them in the oven, I spread the roasted garlic, olive oil and herb mixture over the top of the dough. (Heavy coating) Then added the cheese over that and it was very good!!
