Sauerkraut with Salami and peppers

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion
  • 2 T oil
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 12-16oz jar Sauerkraut, drained (German)
  • 2 oz salami
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 pint beef stock
  • 1 t sugar
  • 4 oz grated potato
  • black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Fry onion in oil until browned. Add pepper and fy 1-2min. Add remaining ingredients except potato and pepper. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 45min.
Add potatoes and black pepper and cook 15more min. Stir well and serve with brats.
