Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients

  • Optional:
  • 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven too 400 degrees F.

Cut off the brown ends of the sprouts and pull off any yellow outer leaves. Cut each in half from top to bottom. Place them all in a baking pan. Drizzle oil. Sprinkle salt and pepper. Roast for 35 to 40 minutes until the outsides are crisp. Shake the pan from time to time to brown the sprouts evenly. Serve immediately.
