Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs. fresh asparagus, (or two 10 oz. pkg. frozen asparagus spears)
- 1 pkg. hollandaise sauce mix, (such as Knorr)
- 2 Tb. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 Tb. seeded and diced jalapeno pepper
- 2 tsp. diced pimiento
- Garnishes: fresh cilantro sprigs, lemon slices, red jalapeno pepper fan
Preparation
Step 1
Snap off tough ends of asparagus. Arrange asparagus in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 5-6 minutes or until crisp-tender. Arrange asparagus on a serving plate, and keep warm. Prepare hollandaise sauce mix according to pkg. directions; stir in Parmesan cheese, diced jalapeno pepper, and pimiento. Serve over asparagus.
