Caramel Layer Chocolate Bars (Turtle Bars)
- 14 oz light caramels
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 pkg German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 cup melted margarine
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate bits
Melt caramels and milk over low heat and set aside.
Combine cake, oleo and milk.
Knead and press into greased and floured 9 x 13 pan.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
Spread caramel mixture over
Crumble rest of dough over.
Bake 15-18 minutes
Cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting
