Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 (28-ounce) can tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
  • Sugar
  • NOTE: Recipe is enough for 3 12-inch pizzas.

Preparation

Step 1

Over medium heat, heat oil in a saucepan until hot. Add all ingredients, cover and bring to a boil. Uncover, lower heat and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.

NOTE: Add sugar to counteract acidity of tomatoes.
