Lovely Falafels

Ingredients

  • Recipe:
  • 6-8 people
  • 2-3 onions
  • 8 cloves of garlic
  • 6 red peppers
  • 4 cans of skinned tomatoes (400 g x4)
  • 1 tbsp of tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp of sweet chilli powder
  • 6-7 tsp of salt
  • 3 tbsp of sugar
  • 1/2 liter of coffee cream (9 %)
  • 1/2 liter of broth
  • 1-2 packages of cream cheese (200-400 g depends on how unhealthy you want the soup!)
  • 2-3 tbsp of oregano

Let the chickpeas to soak for 12 hours in some water. Then mix all ingredients together (but chop the onions a little bit) in a bowl and give the mixture a good trip with a hand blender! Wops, a delicious mix!

I chose to fry them in the pan (but you can also deep fry them if you want to!). Pour a lot of oil on the pan and put some blobs of the mixture around the pan and press slightly with a spoon or something. The important thing is that you leave the falafels be on the pan a little time before you begin to move with them, otherwise they will be destroyed. So let them get a little brown on the bottom so that they become more solid, and then you can turn them, it is so important that you’re leaving them a bit! but remember to do it with a lot of oil / fat!

Then they are ready, serve in some tortilla pancakes, with some salad, salsa and sour cream! Delicious! They can also be amazing as an appetizer or a little snack! Just make them smaller and serve them with a stick! And use my salsa as a dipping sauce! They are also amazing eating cold, so perfect for the lunch box!

Lad kikærterne ligge i blød i 12 timer. Bland så alle ingredienser sammen (hak dog lige løgene først) i en skål og giv blandingen en god tur med en stavblender! Wops, en lækker blanding!

Jeg synes dog at det hele går lidt hurtigere hvis man bare laver dem flade på panden når de steges, mange frituresteger dem, men jeg valgte at stege dem på panden. Hæl godt med olie på en pande og placer nogle klatter af blandingen rundt omkring på panden og tryk lidt med en ske eller sådan. Det vigtige er så at du lader falaflerne ligge lidt på panden før du begynder at rykke med dem, ellers bliver de ødelagte. Så lad dem få lidt brun farve i bunden så de bliver mere faste, og så kan du vende dem, det er så vigtigt at du igen lader dem ligge lidt! men husk at steg med godt med olie/fedtstof!
