stick butter (melted in microwave)
cups whole milk
cup golden raisins
zest of 1 lemon
Mix together 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar salt, and cinnamon. Melt the butter, add the milk to make lukewarm. Gradually add to the dry ingredients, beat at low speed for 2 minutes, then add egg yolks, and additional flour, mix at medium speed with a wooden spoon, gradually stir in remaining ingredients to make a soft dough. DO NOT OVERWORK dough. Cover and let dough rise until doubled in size, then stir down and stir in (raisins and lemon zest) and let rise again. I let the dough rise the second time in the pans that I am baking the Babka in. Grease the pans. Brush with egg wash Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.
