Morning Maple Muffins

Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp chopped nuts
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400. In large bowl combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder and salt. In another bowl combine milk, butter, syrup, sour cream, egg and vanilla. Stir in the dry ingredients until just moistened. Fill muffin tins. Mix topping ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle overtop. bake for 16 - 20 minutes or until done. Cool and remove from tins.
