Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 Cups Sugar
  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2-3/4 Cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tsp. Cream of Tarter
  • 1 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbs. Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbs. Sugar

Preparation

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, butter, and eggs.

Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until light and fluffy.

Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt.

Beat at low speed until soft dough forms.

Cover with plastic wrap, and chill 1-2 hours, or until firm.

Heat oven to 375°. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and remaining sugar.

Shape dough into 1" balls. Roll balls in cinnamon mixture.

Place balls 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until light golden brown.
