  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract or almond extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • powdered sugar (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add 1 egg at a time, beating after each addition. Add salt, baking soda, flour & sour cream. Mix until all ingredients are well blended.

Pour batter into a floured bundt pan and bake for approximately 1 hour. Oven temps vary so it might take a little longer for the middle to get done.

After removing from bundt pan you can sprinkle powdered sugar on top if desired.
