Salted Orange Toffee Slices

Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup Unsalted Butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 Cup White Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup packed Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp finely grated Orange Zest
  • 1 Egg, room temperature
  • 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 Cup Skor Bits
  • Fine Sea Salt for sprinkling (if desired)

Preparation

Step 1

Beat butter, white sugar, brown sugar & orange zest together till smooth. Add egg and beat till combined.

Sift flour and baking soda together and add to the butter mixture. Stir till blended, then add the toffee bits.
Shape the dough into 2 logs each about 9" long and 2" wide. Wrap in plastic wrap. Once wrapped, gently tap each side to create a square shape.
Chill the dough for at least 2 hours.

Oven to 350. Slice the logs into cookies that are 1/4" thick and placed on parchment lined cookie sheet, leaving 2" between cookies. Sprinkle with a little sea salt if desired.

Bake for 13 minutes or until they have browned lightly on the bottom.
